I'm starting to worry about my health

01 January 2002
I am a 17 year old girl from Australia and i'm starting to worry about my health. There are a few things that have been happening to me recently that are not normal for me. Firstly, I have been getting headaches alot more often than normal. Secondly, I have lost 6 kilos rapidly in the last couple of months and i dont know why or how. i dont excercise and eat alot of junk. I have been tired alot, and not feeling the best. Also, just yesterday I fainted while i was in the shower. What is happening to me? do you think i could be pregnant, because the condom broke while me and my partner were having intercourse. this was around the 15th of november and my periods had just finished. i didnt take any action considering the matter because afterwards when i went to the bathroom there was still a bit of blood, as my periods obviously hadnt completely finished. so i thought there was no way i could get pregnant. but im really desperate to know what is wrong with me. HELP

It really isn't possible to say what could be wrong, if anything, without being able to examine you. Unexplained weight loss needs investigation so I would advise that you see a doctor.

The other thing is, please don't assume that you couldn't be pregnant simply because the condom broke at the end of your period. It is possible to get pregnant even if you are bleeding slightly, so if your period is late make sure you do a pregnancy test.
